Container Door Retainer Plate, Press Type (LG84011)

This part works with the flat handle and the matching seal parts to hold the handle in the closed position and allow a seal to be fitted as the set is designed.

So it has two jobs: locking the handle in place and lining up the seal holes.

The second job is often overlooked. If the seal holes do not line up, the container cannot be sealed, which affects handover, not just the finish of the repair.

It fits compatible flat handle sets, not every handle set on containers.

This model does not replace the seal hole handle model, because it is designed to mate with a different handle shape. If your container uses a seal hole handle, please see the Forged lower retainer plate for seal hole handles

When replacing parts, check the shape, mounting distance and mating line with the matching parts. Misaligned fitting can make the handle hard to seat or leave the seal holes out of line.

Check the mating parts Compare with the existing handle and seal catch, and check for wear, bending and loose mounting points.

Check alignment before fixing permanently Place the handle in the closed position and check that the retaining set mates without forcing.

Test the seal after fitting Check that a seal can be fitted easily and the part does not obstruct opening and closing the handle, then carry on with the repair followingthe container owner's requirements

• The part is bent, cracked or deformed
• Loose mounting points or parts that move abnormally
• The seal holes do not line up with the mating part
• The seal is hard to fit or cannot be fitted
• Corrosion found at the mounting points during container inspection

A container that cannot be sealed should always be fixed before handover, because this is checked at the customer's receiving inspection.

Can it be used with a seal hole handle? No. Please choose the Forged model, code LG87033, which is designed specifically for seal hole handles.

Can I replace only the lower part? Yes, if the mating part is still in good condition. But check both, because they usually wear together.
