Before choosing, users must check that the valve body, seal and O-ring materials are safe to use with the product carried. The manufacturer makes the customer responsible for checking the Chemical Compatibility of the valve with the product loaded.

The Foot Valve is fitted at the lowest point inside the tank. When the valve is closed, the Poppet and seal close off the discharge path to stop product flowing out.

To discharge, the operator uses the Side Operated Handle, which opens the Poppet inside the tank so the product flows through the valve to the Bottom Discharge system.

The Foot Valve spring sits inside the tank, controlling the Poppet return and keeping the valve firmly closed. The standard model uses PTFE seals and FEP/Silicone O-rings.

1. Check and clean the Inlet Flange and gasket so they are free of dust, grit or dirt.
2. Fit the Studs into the Weld-in Flange using PTFE based grease as recommended.
3. Place the gasket in the correct position.
4. Fit the Foot Valve to the flange.
5. Fit washers and nuts at every position.
6. Tighten the nuts in the specified sequence and torque.
7. Fit the gasket, nut set and Blind Flange on the Outlet Flange.
8. Open and close the valve at least 3 times to check torque and operation.

For M12 Studs, the manufacturer specifies a nut torque of 50 N·m ±10 N·m, and for the M16 Second Closure Valve fitted behind the NEATCO, 70 N·m ±5 N·m.

Installation should be done by technicians with ISO Tank valve knowledge, following the Bolt Tightening Sequence in the manufacturer's manual.

After fitting, check that:

• The flanges mate fully
• The gasket has not moved out of position
• There are no leaks at the Inlet and Outlet Flanges
• The valve handle opens and closes through its full range
• The Poppet returns fully to the closed position
• The spring and internal mechanism move freely
• There is no stiffness or abnormal noise
• The valve has passed the pressure test as specified

The Spindle and Poppet are Stainless Steel, the Packing Gland and Packing Ring are PTFE, and the O-rings are FEP/Silicone.

PEROLO recommends replacing the Spindle seals together to keep the stem tight and prevent leaks. The 2 Stuffing Clamp screws are tightened to 8 N·m.

• Do not exceed the specified pressure and temperature
• Check Chemical Compatibility before use with each product
• Do not use a valve that is cracked, bent or leaking
• Do not modify the valve body, Poppet or operating mechanism
• Replace seals and O-rings when they show hardening, swelling, cracking or deformation
• Use gaskets and nut sets of the specified size
• Tighten nuts in the sequence and torque set by the manufacturer
• After repair, test opening, closing and leaks before returning to service
• Use only PEROLO OEM parts

The manufacturer states that the warranty ends if non OEM parts are fitted
