PEROLO Tankfly Flanged Butterfly Valve ND80

Inside this ISO Tank butterfly valve, a Butterfly closure plate (Closure Plate) is connected to the Spindle. When the operator turns the handle, the plate turns with the shaft to open or close the product flow path.

• Closed position: the Closure Plate sits across the flow path and presses against the PTFE seal
• Open position: the Closure Plate turns parallel to the flow path and liquid flows through the full bore
• Control: 1/4 turn handle with a Locking Pin to lock the position

This system lets the valve open and close quickly, is easy to use and suits the limited space inside the ISO Tank Rear Cabinet.

The suitable temperature range must be considered together with the seal and O-ring type and the product in the tank.

The Tankfly Flanged Butterfly Valve is designed to comply with transport tank equipment standards ADR, IMDG, RID and EN 14432 and is approved by Bureau Veritas, TÜV and RMR.

Suited to ISO Tank Containers, Road Tankers, Tank Trailers, Bottom Discharge systems, tank inlet and outlet valves, Second Closure Valves, and systems carrying liquid chemicals, oil, industrial products and liquid food products where materials and seals are compatible.

Users must check compatibility between the valve materials, seals and the product carried before every use.

Manufacturer caution: always install the Tankfly in the closed position.

1. Check that the valve is in the closed position before fitting it to the tank.
2. Clean the tank Inlet Flange so it is free of dust, sand or dirt.
3. Fit the Studs into the Weld-in Flange and lubricate with PTFE grease.
4. Place the gasket in the correct position.
5. Fit the valve on the flange with all washers and nuts.
6. Tighten the nuts in the sequence set by the manufacturer: M16 to 70 N·m ±5 and M12 to 50 N·m ±5.
7. Fit the gasket, nut set and Blind Flange on the Outlet Flange.
8. Open and close the valve 3 times to check the Operational Torque.

When connecting pipework from the valve to an external Process system, the manufacturer recommends fitting a Flexible Hose between the valve and the pipework to reduce loads and vibration on the Studs and flange.
