PEROLO Tankfly Clamped Butterfly Valve TPS8, 3 in, Splined Spindle

Inside the valve, a Butterfly closure plate (Closure Plate) is connected to the Splined Spindle. When the operator turns the handle, the turning force goes through the spindle splines directly to the closure plate.

• Closed position: the Closure Plate sits across the flow path and presses against the PTFE seal
• Open position: the Closure Plate turns parallel to the flow path
• Just a 1/4 turn, with a Locking Pin to lock the handle in the set position

The Splined Spindle reduces play between the shaft and the handle set, giving more consistent control than the old hexagonal shaft. Ideal where the valve is opened and closed often.

The suitable temperature range must be considered together with the seal and O-ring materials and the properties of the product carried.

The standard model sold is TPS8X7T00 (Splined Spindle, 316 Stainless, 7 Bar, PTFE seal, Manual). If you need 904L material, High Temperature seals, food grade seals or a Pneumatic actuator, give us the code from the table for a price and lead time.

The TANKFLY Clamped Butterfly Valve is designed to comply with transport tank equipment requirements ADR, IMDG, RID and EN 14432 and is approved by Bureau Veritas and RMR.

Spare part sets and Repair Kits

Older TANKFLY valves with a hexagonal shaft can be upgraded to the Splined Spindle system. The manufacturer requires replacing it as a set, not just the shaft alone. 3 kits are needed:

1. Spindle & Spindle Seals Kit: 11 12 62 97 00
2. Handle Kit: 11 14 85 40 00
3. Closure Plate Kit: 12 85 57 81 00

When choosing the Spindle and Seal Kit, check the valve Serial Number before ordering, as earlier models used a different shaft design and seal positions. The Gavan Asia team can check the Serial Number and match the right kits for you.
