10 mm Grade 70 chain is suited to securing:

Pass the MTR Chain 10mm G70 through or around the load to be secured, then hook the chain ends to the anchor points on the truck or trailer using hooks of suitable size and grade.

Use a Ratchet Loadbinder or Lever Loadbinder to tension the chain until the load is held firmly. Make sure the links are not twisted, the hooks are fully engaged in the links and every component is aligned to take the load properly.

After the vehicle starts moving, stop and check the chain tension again, especially after rough roads, hard braking or areas with heavy vibration.

These are general reference values for 3/8 inch or 10 millimetre Grade 70 chain. In practice, follow the values marked on the product, its certificate and the manufacturer's documents for each lot. Minimum Breaking Force is a standard test value only, and actual use must never exceed the Working Load Limit.

MTR Chain 10mm G70 is cut to length and sold by the metre, suited to customers who want to set their own length or make up chain sets with hooks and lashing equipment for specific jobs.

Check the chain before every use. If any link is cracked, bent, stretched, worn, has a damaged weld or heavy corrosion, stop using it immediately.

Do not exceed the Working Load Limit, and consider the rating of the whole system: chain, hooks, Loadbinder and anchor points. The system rating is limited by the component with the lowest WLL. NACM requirements state that standard values apply only to chain in sound condition used within the Working Load Limit.

Do not knot, twist, weld repair or modify the chain yourself, and do not use Grade 70 chain for lifting or suspending loads overhead.
