Container Door Handle Hub (LG87030/1)

Container handle hub (Handle Hub) code LG87030/1 is a U shaped steel part welded onto the locking bar (Locking Bar) of the container door. It is the mounting point for the door handle: the handle end slides into the slot and is fixed with a rivet through the hole, so the force from the handle fully turns the locking bar.

When the handle is lifted and swung out, the handle hub turns the locking bar so the top and bottom locking cams release from the cam keepers and the door can open. When turned back, the cams lock in again. A hub with a worn hole or cracked weld lets the handle spin freely and the door will not lock tightly.

• Position the handle hub in line with the lower retainer plate before welding so the handle closes neatly into the lock.
• Weld all round and paint anti rust coating over the weld after fitting.
• Always use a new rivet.

• The rivet hole is worn oval and the handle rocks or wobbles
• The weld to the locking bar is cracked
• The U legs are spread or bent from impact

Is the handle hub sold with a rivet?

It is sold separately. You can add rivet LG87011 to the same order.

Which locking bar sizes does it fit?

It fits the standard locking bar of regular Dry containers. If you are not sure, send a photo or the size of the old bar to our sales team to check.
