PEROLO MEGA SUPERVENTIX Flanged SRV 2.5″ DN65, 4.4 bar, Pressure Only

The Flanged Safety Relief Valve, 2.5 inch (DN65), MEGA SUPERVENTIX model, made by PEROLO in France, is designed for liquid and chemical tanks such as ISO Tanks, Rail Tanks, Road Tankers and IBCs. It quickly releases excess pressure from the tank in critical overpressure conditions or in a fire.

This model combines two specific features:

• Set Pressure 4.4 Bar: The highest set pressure covered by PED certification in the MEGA SUPERVENTIX range
• Pressure Only (No Vacuum): Relieves overpressure only, with no internal Vacuum Poppet. Suited to tanks with separate vacuum protection, or systems whose specification does not require Vacuum Relief in the valve.

It mounts with a flange that has 4 slotted holes, Ø18 mm, on a PCD of 145 to 152.4 mm, fixed with 4 M16 screws directly onto the tank's flange seat.

Note on material: Some sources list the product as 316L, but the Specification document states the body material as 316 / 1.4408, so check the Material Certificate and the markings on the actual valve lot before citing 316L.

The flanged No Vacuum model code uses a dot ( . ) in the Vacuum Setting position, so the base code for this spec is:

MX65[S/P]44T. followed by the options Flame Proof Gauze (G/S), Vacuum Test Button, Halar Coating and Gauge Protection.

• S Flange with 4 slots, Ø18, on PCD 145 to 152.4, with a 1/4″ BSP port
• P Same as S, but supplied with a Plug in the port

If PED certification is required, choose code MP65S/P. Always confirm the Full Part Number from the Nameplate, Certificate or order documents, because the dot in the Vacuum position confirms the valve is a true No Vacuum model.

Model MP65S/P is certified to PED 2014/68/EU (Category IV, Module H1, Fluid Group 1, Notified Body: DNV), and 4.4 Bar is the maximum setting for the PED model. Confirm that the actual product is an MP code with a Certificate matching the Serial Number.

The No Vacuum model does not let air in when negative pressure occurs in the tank. Before choosing it, make sure the tank has separate vacuum protection or that the process will not create a vacuum, otherwise the tank may deform under negative pressure.

If the system needs both functions in one valve, we recommend the Flanged SRV 3.75 Bar / Vacuum 0.21 Bar. As with every model, the Set Pressure must match the tank MAWP (the manufacturer recommends 1.1 times MAWP), and the valve materials must be compatible with the product carried.

1. Check that the seat flange and valve flange are clean and free of dust or debris.
2. Place the Setting Gasket or Bursting Disc in line with the holes.
3. Caution: the Bursting Disc for the flanged model must be 3 inch (ND80) only, even though the valve itself is DN65.
4. Place the valve on the flange and fit all 4 M16 screws.
5. Tighten in a cross pattern (Cross Type) to a torque of 70 N·m ±5 N·m
6. Check for leaks at the gasket or Bursting Disc after fitting.
7. Do not cut the Wire Weld Seal between the Body and Cover before the inspection interval, otherwise the warranty ends immediately.

This model does not use Vacuum side parts (Vacuum Spring, Vacuum Poppet, Vacuum Set Kit), so its parts list is shorter than the standard model.

The manufacturer recommends removing the valve for inspection and seal replacement in a Workshop about every 2 years. The internal spring set holds 100 to 400 daN of preload, so the cover must only be removed by a specialist with the right tools.

After replacing seals or the Spring Set, the valve must be set on a Test Rig with a Class 0.5 Manometer: find the opening point, adjust the Set Pressure to exactly 4.4 Bar, then seal the Cap with Stainless Steel Wire. Use only PEROLO OEM parts, otherwise the warranty ends.
