PEROLO MEGA SUPERVENTIX SRV 2.5″ BSP DN65, 4.4 bar, Pressure Only

The Threaded Safety Relief Valve, 2.5 inch (DN65), BSP MEGA SUPERVENTIX model, made by PEROLO in France, is designed to fit pressure vessels, storage tanks and industrial transport tanks such as ISO Tanks, Rail Tanks, Road Tankers and IBCs.

Its main job is to quickly release excess pressure from the tank in critical overpressure conditions or in a fire, protecting the tank structure from damage caused by excessive pressure.

What sets it apart from other models in the range is that it is a Pressure Only (No Vacuum) The valve relieves overpressure only, with no internal Vacuum Poppet, so it suits tanks with separate vacuum protection, or systems whose specification does not require Vacuum Relief in the valve.

Note on material: Some sources list the product as 316L, but the Specification document states the body material as 316 / 1.4408, so check the Material Certificate and the markings on the actual valve lot before citing 316L.

Under the PEROLO Codification system, the No Vacuum model uses a dot ( . ) in the Vacuum Setting position instead of a number, so the base code for this spec is:

MX65F44T. followed by the options Flame Proof Gauze (G/S), Setting Gasket type (C/P), Vacuum Test Button and Halar Coating.

If PED certification is required, choose model MP65F. Always confirm the Full Part Number from the Nameplate, Certificate or order documents, because the code shows straight away whether the valve has Vacuum or not.

Designed to comply with international dangerous goods transport standards ADR, IMDG, RID and ISO 4126-1 §7.3, with Design Approval from DNV and DNV-RMR

Model MP65F is certified to PED 2014/68/EU (Category IV, Module H1, Fluid Group 1, Notified Body: DNV), and 4.4 Bar is the maximum setting for the PED model.

The No Vacuum model does not let air in when negative pressure occurs in the tank. Before choosing it, make sure the tank has separate vacuum protection or that the process will not create a vacuum, otherwise the tank may deform under negative pressure.

If the system needs both functions in one valve, we recommend the MEGA SUPERVENTIX 4.4 Bar / Vacuum 0.21 Bar instead. As with every model, check that the Set Pressure matches the tank MAWP and that the valve materials are compatible with the product carried.

This model does not use Vacuum side parts (Vacuum Spring, Vacuum Poppet, Vacuum Set Kit), so its parts list is shorter than the standard model.

Fit the valve to the seat flange with a C-Spanner and tighten to the Torque for the gasket material:

• Perbunan/PTFE: 80 N·m ±5 | Composite/PTFE: 230 N·m ±5 | PTFE: 240 N·m ±5
• With a Bursting Disc and Adaptor Flange fitted: tighten the 6 M10 screws to 30 N·m ±5

Do not cut or damage the factory Wire Weld Seal on the cover before the inspection interval, otherwise the PEROLO warranty ends immediately.

The manufacturer recommends removing the valve for inspection and seal replacement in a Workshop about every 2 years. The internal spring set holds 100 to 400 daN of preload, so the cover must only be removed by a specialist with assisting tools, and the Set Pressure must be set on a Test Rig with a Class 0.5 Manometer using only PEROLO OEM parts.
