How container door locking gear works
Each door leaf has locking bars. The handle turns the bar through the handle hub. Cams at the ends of the bar turn into cam keepers on the door frame at the top and bottom. When the handle is folded down it sits in the retainer plate so a seal can be fitted.
Check before you order
- Handle type: forged handle with seal hole or flat press type handle. The retainer plate and bush must match the handle type.
- Left or right hand: cams and cam keepers come in both. Look for the L or R stamped on the old part.
- Standard cam or seal through Secura cam: each must be used with its matching keeper.
- Check parts that work together: if both cam and keeper are worn, replacing only one may still leave a loose lock.
Frequently asked questions
Does L only fit the left door?
Not always. L and R describe the part pattern. Compare with the old part and where it is fitted on the container.
What is the difference between the forged handle and the flat handle?
The forged handle with seal hole uses lower retainer plate LG87033 and bush LG87031. The flat press type handle uses retainer plate LG84011.
