Hinges and Door Seals

Check before you order

  • Hinge blade: forged or M type. Compare length and pin hole with the old part.
  • Hinge pin: compare diameter and length with the hinge pin hole.
  • Door seal: compare the rubber profile and mounting base, not only the length.
  • Before replacing a seal, check whether the door has dropped or twisted. If the hinges are loose, a new seal will still not close fully.

Frequently asked questions

Water gets in when the door is closed. What should I replace?

Check the seals first. Replace them if the rubber is hard, torn or flattened. If the door has dropped or twisted, the hinges or locking gear also need repair.

Why use a stainless steel hinge pin?

A SUS304 stainless pin resists rust better than plain steel, so it does not seize in the hinge and is easier to remove at the next repair.
